Guest Terms

These terms apply when you join a Snapories event as a guest — that is, after scanning a QR code or entering a join code. They are deliberately short and in plain language. The provider is Matthias Anderer GmbH (address in the Legal Notice).
1. Free, and no account
1.1 Using the guest app is free for you. The person or business that booked the event (the Organiser) has paid.
1.2 You do not create an account and you enter no credentials. So that your images, your film roll and your booth credits stay attached to you, we place an access pass in your browser and set one technically necessary cookie. What exactly that is and how long it stays is explained in the Guest Privacy Notice.
1.3 The name you enter when joining is freely chosen. It is shown to other participants of the event if the Organiser has enabled that.
2. What you get
2.1 Film roll. A limited quota of photos set by the Organiser. Used shots do not come back.
2.2 AI photobooth. A limited quota of generations (credits). The booth has its own camera; images from your film roll are not used for it, and a booth shot does not consume a shot from your film roll.
2.3 Gallery. Your images appear immediately in the event's shared gallery.
2.4 These quotas apply per event. At a different event you get new ones.
3. Your personal link ("Save your photos")
3.1 In the app you can create a personal link that lets you reach your images again on another device or in another browser.
3.2 This link is like a key. Whoever has it can reach your images, your film roll and your credits. So do not pass it on and do not post it publicly.
3.3 If you clear your browser data and have not saved a link, we cannot recognise you. Your images remain in the event gallery but are no longer attached to you as yours. Without an account there is no other technical way to solve this.
4. Photos of other people
4.1 Only photograph people who agree to it. This applies especially to children — here you need the consent of the persons with parental responsibility.
4.2 Your images are visible to everyone participating in this event. Do not upload anything you would not want to show in that group.
4.3 If someone does not want to be in a picture, tell the Organiser — they can block individual images. You can also contact us directly (privacy@snapories.com).
5. What is not allowed
Content is not allowed that
- is unlawful or infringes the rights of others (copyright, personality rights, trade marks),
- contains sexualised depictions or endangers minors,
- incites hatred or violence, degrades or threatens people,
- depicts people in a deceptive, defamatory or misleading way,
- impersonates someone else.
Also not allowed: circumventing quotas or protective mechanisms, accessing the service by automated means, or distributing other guests' images outside the event where the people depicted have not agreed to it.

6. The AI photobooth
6.1 The booth uses a third-party AI model to turn your shot into a costume image. Your shot is transmitted to that provider for this purpose; details are in the Guest Privacy Notice.
6.2 One run, one credit. Each generation consumes exactly one credit. If no result is produced, no credit is consumed.
6.3 Labelling. Booth images are visibly labelled as AI-generated in the app. If you publish such an image elsewhere, please state that it was created with AI.
6.4 Do not create images that show other people in a misleading, defamatory or sexualised way, and no images of people who have not agreed to it.
6.5 The result is an artistic transformation. We cannot assure any particular appearance, likeness or quality.
7. Your rights to your images
7.1 The rights to your images stay with you.
7.2 So that the service works, you allow us to store your images, process them technically, display them in this event's gallery and make them available to the participants and to the Organiser. This right ends when the images are deleted.
7.3 We do not sell your images, do not use them for advertising and do not pass them on as training material for AI models.
8. Blocking and removal
8.1 The Organiser can block individual images and individual guests. That is their decision, not ours.
8.2 We remove content where it is illegal or breaches clause 5. You will receive a statement of reasons and can contest it — how is described in the Content Policy.
9. How long you can reach your images
9.1 During the event. While the event is running you can reach your images and the gallery in the app at any time. When the event ends, your access ends — after that we can no longer show you the images in the app. So download the images that matter to you while the event is running.
9.2 After the event: through the Organiser. For the Organiser the images remain available for at least 30 days after the event ends. During that time they can send you a time-limited share link from which you can download the event's images. Whether they do so is their decision.
9.3 Images from the free try-it-out mode (demo) are deleted automatically after 7 days.
9.4 You can ask us to delete your images at any time — write to privacy@snapories.com.
10. Availability and liability
10.1 We aim for reliable operation but, as you are a free user, we do not owe you any particular availability.
10.2 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slightly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation we are liable limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded.
10.3 Snapories is not an archive. Back up images that matter to you yourself.
11. Minors
If you are under 16, please use the app only with the consent of a person with parental responsibility.
12. Changes and ending use
12.1 We may change these terms where legally or technically necessary. The current version is always linked in the app.
12.2 You can stop using the service at any time by no longer using the app and clearing the stored data in your browser.
13. Law and language
13.1 German law applies. If you are a consumer with habitual residence in another country, the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of that country remains unaffected (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation).
13.2 Binding language version.
Only the German version of these terms is legally binding. Versions in other languages are provided for information purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version prevails. Towards consumers who used the app on the basis of a non-German version provided by us, this applies only to the extent that the German version is not less favourable to them; otherwise the language version used applies.
